While the food is undeniably the star, the service at Liuzza's is noteworthy as well. Guests describe the staff as attentive and friendly, which enhances the overall dining experience. Whether you’re diving into a bowl of gumbo or savoring a po'boy, you’ll feel right at home amidst the camaraderie and good vibes. A few patrons have noted that the restaurant can get busy, especially on weekends, so be prepared for a brief wait. Trust us—it’s worth it!

Got a bowl of gumbo and the fried green tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were amazing!!! Would highly recommend those. The gumbo was OK as well, not my favorite — was a bit on the thinner side. The service was great! It’s a small place and the tables do tend to fill up quickly, so might have a little bit of a wait.

Luizza's by the Track has incredible food with bold flavors that really hit the spot. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the service was solid. I’d give it 4 stars—not a perfect experience, but definitely worth a visit for the food alone.

Small place but was able to easily walk in and sit at a table on a Friday evening. Food came so quick and was SO GOOD would highly suggest the sweet potato fries. Vibes are all there, jeopardy was on and all the tables were into it and guessing answers - it was a great place to have dinner!

It was our last day in NO after the Eagles Super Bowl win and we stopped at this spot to get some lunch. We sat at the bar and dude that was a regular there sitting next to us highly recommend the gumbo and claimed it’s one of the best in the city if not the best… I’m immediately locked in . I got the catfish po boy and gumbo combo .. It was top notch. The cup of soup was massive. Full of flavor as was the po boy. Bonus points for having Judge Judy on at the bar lol . Everyone was so nice and helpful. If I’m in the area I’d definitely stop by again.

Wow, the food is great. The gang had catfish and oyster poboys as well as the crawfish etouffee and red beans and rice. We also had some gumbo, seafood. All was great, but a standout was the fried green tomato Poboy! Amazing....

One of the best gumbo I’ve ever tried. My only regret was ordering a cup instead of a bowl, but I had to leave some room for my shrimp po’boy, which was excellent. This was my first time trying it. Also, the beer being ice cold made things more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Food was absolutely amazing and the staff was so kind. First gumbo I had ever tried and I'm glad it was here. The surrounding area was nice as well. Couldn't recommend more!

The first time I tried gumbo was here. It was absolutely delicious. The shrimp was so juicy and tender. It literally melt in my mouth. I couldn't get enough of it. The fried okra was amazing. I had the Breathtaking Beef sandwich. I wasn't expecting the horseradish to burn my nose. Next time, I will get something different.
